If there’s one new word that every traveler should take away from a trip to Sri Lanka it’s this. Ayubowan is a greeting; it’s a parting and it’s a philosophy. It means, “I hope you live long, happy and healthy,” as our guide said, “Because there’s no point in having a long life if you don’t have happiness and health.”
